Laura Romero Valldecabres is a freelance audio author and researcher on sound practices from Iberian peninsula. She works in audio design and storytelling for several radio stations, podcast and sound installations. Her audio pieces combine her interest in documentary field, bioacoustics, cultural heritage, orality, soundscapes and poetry. Awarded first prize at the Grand Prix Nova International Radio Drama Festival (2021) and UK International Audio Drama (2022). PhD. in Communication, she developes her work within the arts and research fields, concerning both the institutional-academic context and independent initiatives. She regularly organizes listening sessions in public places with the aim of expanding a culture of listening in Iberian Peninsula and Latin America.
